The Story of Iran’s Church in Two Sentences

The two sentences are:

“Despite continued hostility from the late 1970s until now, Iranians have become the Muslim people most open to the gospel in the Middle East.”

“More Iranians have become Christians in the last 20 years than in the previous 13 centuries put together.”

I would add another:

“God in His sovereignty, is allowing harsh expressions of Islam to take place in recent years, including the Shiite government of Iran, and other Sunni expressions such as the Taliban in Afghanistan; Hamas in the Gaza strip; and Islamic terror groups such as Al Qaeda and ISIS, in order to make more and more Muslims disillusioned with their false religion.”

As you watch the news and see more and more Islamic terror in the world these days, as Christians, let us pray that God will make more and more other Muslims disillusioned with Islam and provide fruitful opportunities for gospel discussions with them.

Muslims are people, created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-28); and love to talk about God and religion (and politics); and they are generally very hospitable and open for discussions.  Let us love Muslims as people and reach out to them.

Be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18; Acts 4:31) and the word of God (Colossians 3:16) and reach out to Muslims in love and truth.
